Crafting
I finally caught the crafting bug (it's only been probably at least a year!). I Easterfied my kitchen mirror. I made these happy paper flowers (from craft paper @ Jo Ann Fabrics which is on sale for 5 sheets for $1 & usually costs .59 a page; so good deal!) & I glued a piece of ribbon to back & hung them on the mirror. I'm happy with the result! They were super easy to make. I also made my future niece a little headband with a flower on it. Now I'm working on a wreath that is going to take just shy of a year to finish @ the rate I'm going. I have to make about 4 million more little flowers to glue on it & they take a long time. Someday I'll post that finished project.

I used Easter Egg craft paper since it IS Easter.
It's really hard to take a picture of a mirror without getting yourself or your husband in the picture :)

Ooey-Goey Chocolate Chip Cookie Time!
Blake helped me this morning with his first batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies! Yum! He was a very good helper & enjoyed eating the dough (I use our chickens eggs, & I know what they eat & do all day so no, I'm not worried about the raw egg....) There was only 1 mishap. When I was taking the 1st batch out of the oven (of course Blake was totally excited to see the cookies coming out) I burned my finger on the pan and dropped ALL the cookies into the bottom of the oven into a big soft gooey pile that instantly started cooking & smoking like they were in a skillet. Ugh. So I scraped them out with a spatula w/out burning myself into the crack at the base of the oven door thinking when I close the door they'll fall out onto the floor. Well I forgot about the drawer of pots & pans under my oven & so all the now smashed cookies fell in there instead. Oh well, it was God's way of saying, "Becky, that drawer is really dirty and this is the only way your going to notice how gross it is. Clean it. " :) The end product was oh-so-yummy though!
Sticky fingers! He's helping make it into balls.

Spring Is Springing!
I love it when spring starts coming! I love being able to go outside and warm up on the sunny porch (yes, I warm up on my rock in the morning like a lizard) Everything is starting to come to life and I can open my windows and breathe fresh air that hasn't been circulating in my house for months. Something about spring coming makes me feel so motivated! I'm coming out of my winter slump! Ok, so we've had like 5 warm days, and the rest are cold with threats of snow (like tomorrow) but those 5 days have been great! Blake LOVES going outside and running around with the dogs & traveling with me down the see the duck & cows & chickens & horses. He really likes to feed the duck bread & when i get the bread out of the draw to make a sandwich for him he's like, "No mommy! Duckies!" The following pictures are Blake on our warm sunny day and his big blue ball. It was really windy and his ball kept blowing away, but he didn't mind; He thought it was fun.
Yes, his tongues out. He must be concentrating!
I can't believe how big he's getting!
I LOVE this picture!
I've been letting Blake do more and more "big boy" things. I don't want to rush him growing up or anything but he needs to do big boy things! He's loving it, too. He is so proud of his big boy bed & he has to show anyone that comes over that may not have seen it yet. He doesn't mind going to bed now in it, but it does take about 30 minutes to get him to STAY in bed. He just keeps climbing out and peeking out the door. If I'm not paying attention he's sneaks out into the living room and hides under a chair :) He's so quiet! Blake got to go on a tractor ride yesterday with out neighbor, Scott. That just made his day!
I have to get started turning out spare room /office/play room into Blake's new bedroom. The new baby is going in Blake's current room since its already a nursery & is significantly smaller than the current toy room. Need to start thinking of ideas! Fun fun!

Just Another Day
Today is a hum-drum day. I'm not in a bad mood, but I'm not in a great mood either. I feel like I'm just here. Sometimes I just get really tired of doing the same thing every day. I get up, very sleepy-like, get Blake's breakfast, get my breakfast & try to figure out where to start cleaning up first. The problem is I dont want to clean @ all. I'm not sure if there's anybody in the world who hates cleaning as much as I do. There's nothing that I like to clean. Thats the problem! I will get the house really clean and then have the mentality of "I'm going to keep it this way!" and I do for like a week....then I'm back to "ugh! I hate cleaning!" But I have to remember that nobody likes it but somebody has to do it and that somebody is me. SO, that being said, I better go get the bathrooms scrubbed before Blake wakes up so that when he is up we can play. That's something I DO like, playing with Blake. Maybe I should just always play with Blake and never clean again....I like that idea!

Yes, I Do Still Exist
Blake's usual morning look
Blake is a crazy 2 year old who is indeed terrible (hence the title terrible twos) Actually for the most part he is so sweet and loving and funny. That kid make me laugh so much! and he laughs ALL the time. He's a very happy kid but he DOES get grumpy and when he's grumpy there's just nothing you can do to make him happy unless maybe you make belching or farting noises. Those are always funny to Blake.
This is after Blake was playing in the creek, his clothes were soaked so we went home in a diaper:)
I am working 2 1/2 days a week at the animal hospital. I enjoy working there for the most part. The animals are fun and i GUESS the people are too hehe. ;)
Travis was laid-off for about 10 or 11 months last year from Linde. He was working at the Rogers Feed Mill for a while, but Linde called him back last summer and he's been working 7 days a week since then. That's a lot of working and i wish he would take some days off. He is actually taking this weekend off though so that makes me very happy!!! :) :) :)
We are now regular attenders at Union Ridge Baptist Church. A very nice, very small church with bog ideas. They absolutely love Blake there and he loves all the attention from the older ladies.
We are still gardening and raising animals for food. We butchered a couple hogs last winter and now we're raising a couple cows we will probably butcher next summer or something, i don't really know, that's Travis' deal. One of the cows is for us & the other is getting split between my parents and Travis' parents. It should be pretty yummy! Besides that we just have the 3 dogs & 2 cats. (+ 1 ferrel cat that lives here but doesn't come close)
Well that's about all I can think of right now. Seeing how we FINALLY joined the current times and have the internet @ our house i should be keeping right up with the little blogger!
